Victoria Falls to Johannesburg with 2 nights on the Chobe River

Day 1

​

Meet and Greet from airport followed by a tour of the Falls. Dinner, formalities for bike hire, introduction to tour at Vic Falls Hotel.   

Distance: 81.4 km. Air conditioned transfer time is: 1 hour 2 mins

 

 

Day 2 and 3

 

2 nights on the Zambezi Queen House Boats on Chobe River

Zambezi Queen offers luxury accommodation. Game viewing by tender boat; Tiger and bream (catch and release basis)   Bird watching; Cultural village walks.

Distance: 307 km   Riding time is: 3 hours 35 mins

 

 

Day 4

 

Collecting our Harley Davidsons in Kasane we ride to Nata Bird Sanctuary,

Distance: 226 km     Riding time is: 2 hours 56 mins

 

 

Day 5

 

Francistown is our first Lodge and cultural village tour. 

Distance: 169 km      Riding time is: 1 hour 59 mins

 

 

Day 6

 

Border crossing into Botswana then on to Old Palapye.

Distance: 208 km       Riding time is: 2 hours 11 mins

 

Day 7

​

Mokopane (officially renamed from Potgietersrus in 2003), a town in the Limpopo province.  Distance: 263 km            Riding time is: 2 hours 36 mins

 

Day 8

 

We end the tour with an evening meal together. Airport transfers are available at your leisure from the hotel the following day. You are welcome to extend your stay  by prior arrangement at your own cost

 

Visa requirements: Citizens of some African countries won’t need a visa for crossing a Botswana border post, but if you’re travelling with an any other kind of travelling document, you will require a visa.

Driver's license: South African and international driver’s licenses are accepted.

 

Vehicle insurance: Third-party insurance (at P50) is required and is valid for 90 days, included in price of tour.

 

Vehicle registration documents: If the vehicle is rented, not registered in your name, or not yet fully paid, you will need an affidavit from the police giving you permission from the rental company, financial institution, or owner to take the vehicle across a Botswanan border post. Both this letter and the registration documents need to be signed by a Commissioner of Oaths.

 

Clearance certificate: You need a temporary import permit (TIP) to bring a vehicle into Botswana. You can buy this at the Botswana border post.
